Today is Sunday and earlier today we had a nasty storm come through our town. Trees were knocked down, the power was out, and life seemed to slow down for a bit. I could not tell you what time this happened but we were out of power for at least 4 hours. Not knowing when the power was going to come back on, I called up my mom and we went for a walk around the apartment grounds. The sun was out while we walked around taking pictures of the damage. I thanked God that no one was injured, and no one’s car was damaged! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Maintenance men were out there cutting trees, so I gave them some water and told them thank you for making a clear path so we can drive through. Now mind you, today is Sunday and I have work tomorrow morning, so I am especially grateful to them!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

We went to visit with a close friend and neighbor of ours and hung out for a while. On my walk home back to my apartment I said to myself, “Wouldn’t it be nice if the power came back on within the next 15 minutes? Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Then I ran into another neighbor that lives on the first floor of my apartment and she said she thought the power was going to be out until tomorrow! I said, “No, it will be back on in 15 minutes!” She looked at me all crazy, like yeah, right!

Since the power was out, we were both charging our phones in our cars. I mean the power was out, so what else do you do, right? I was inside my apartment and she was outside sitting in her car, and then boom! Let there be light!!! Amen, and hallelujah! I stuck my head outside the window and yelled “15 minutes!” She hopped out of her car and looked me at like she had just seen a ghost!! I just smirked because I knew.
