The Power Of Giving.
Submitted by: Katie A
Michigan, WestlandI am a faithful woman. I lived my life in a faithful family. I studied in a catholic school in Jordan. I always used to go to church on Sunday and all holidays. My mom always used to tell me to give because in each hour you don’t know what’s going to happen next. I memorized all that Jesus said, especially, "Give and you will be given." Amen!
One day, I was walking with my sister in the city. As we were walking I saw a sweet bakery store so we decided to enter it. I did not have the money to purchase anything but I said that I just wanted to ask the man working there if I could try one sample. So he said, sure you can try it, and he gave me that piece of sweet. As we went out of the store, a little poor girl came to me asking for money. I told her I was sorry that I did not have any money but I did have this piece of sweet in my hand. I asked her if she would like to have it. She said yes. So I gave it to her with joy and left to go home.
So when I got to my home, I saw a big box of sweets on the table. And it was the same type of sweet that I had given to the girl. I asked my mom who brought them to us. She said my other sister’s friend was here a minute ago and brought it with her. I was so shocked I realized that this was the work of God. Just something inside me said that it happened because of the ‘giving’. Because I gave the poor girl my sweet. I was so happy and I knew that was God gifting me that back with even more abundance because I gave with joy. Give and you will be given to abundantly. Amen
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
