How should I begin? There’s so much to tell from the past I dwell.

Four years ago, the end of my high school life and, to date, the beginning of a global lockdown. I faced one of the most devastating moments in my life- a soul-shattering heartbreak. Three years together, yet in those times, I knew my soul was attached to someone who would cause me agonizing strife and pain. It’s like a dark romance book being torn apart page by page. In reality, I can’t fathom what most likely made the Universe write a story about a man crying out his blood, sweat, and tears who never deserved endless and hopeless days. I don’t know how or why such events moved to unexpected turns and started twisted plots, but certainly, my discovery of The Secret opened my eyes to the unseen path of where I am now.

Four years of being single and alone in almost everything I did. It was the mark of my soul-searching journey. Love is a light, the luminescent ray that, when kept hidden, will consume the very darkness of someone’s hope to find ‘The One’. I clung to the idea of falling for someone in complete perfection to my expectations. However, I knew it was already leading me into places where loving was an act of desperation that hurt me. From experiencing the aftermath of a tragedy, taking into consideration what must be done first to move on, giving myself time to reflect over the years, and healing my heart. It was gruesome to wake up overwhelmed by intense emotions boiling up to resentment, sadness, and regret. I had no other choice but to write gregariously in order to understand more of myself. To keep learning about my biggest mistakes and my lowest moments. And to start opening my journey into a library of books.

The book appeared when I checked a shelf of my cousin’s. It was an old one reminiscent of a burnt sienna, but the title cover was calling out to me, whispering: Do you want to unravel The Secret?

The book was quite mysterious. The timing and purpose from when it was revealed felt like it was calling for me. Diving into its world, I searched for its summary, checked its price, and decided not to purchase the physical copy but to buy the e-book. I was completely immersed in every concept until I was struck by the idea that: You are not your past. My destiny can only be designed by yours truly. The author, the writer; the pen is in my hand, and I get to choose whatever outcome I will manifest.

“Love is patient and kind. It does not envy or boast. It is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way. It is not irritable or resentful. It does not rejoice at wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth.”

For all the times I chose to truly love someone, I was let down on several occasions and had unmet connections, but this time, I chose to let it go. In my years of study, I found a tool to practice and actualize manifestation, and that is by writing my own script with my deepest desires.

Imagining the love of my life by my side as I visualize the feeling and presence of her in every form was written in my keep notes saying:

Someone like her is best described as artistic and multipotential. A writer, a woman who loves to sing and dance, and a booktrovert with assorted book collections on personal development, philosophy, psychology, finance, fiction, and spirituality. She likes musical instruments and is also intrigued by visual arts such as painting, photography, design, and crafts. The One I’m in love with is an explorer of creative endeavors.

She is the loveliest woman I’ve met, for she captivated my soul. She is my twin flame, a patient, kind-hearted, trustworthy lover. She deeply cares about others and, most importantly, herself. She is family-oriented, career-oriented, and business-minded as well as financially independent, for she is building a solid foundation for her future. She dreams of traveling the world and exploring various cultures, fashion, sceneries, and food trends. She is grounded in stoic philosophy, explores psychological concepts, and applies them in real life. She is a fan of Japanese practices. She is a God-fearing woman who devotes her faith to prayers and values her path in life. The One I’m in love with strives to have a fulfilling life.

She is a woman with a heart of gold. She looks out for me because she is my emotional rock. She is happy and content with the present moment because she’s also searching for ‘The One’. She is single and content with her personal space as a woman. She is the kind of woman who keeps the best interests of my heart because she wants to build a healthy and secure relationship out of individuality and interdependence with standards, compromises, and boundaries.

We add value to one another because we must grow as strong, independent partners encompassed by kindness, trust, and romance. We are a match made in heaven because we support each other through thick and thin. We are meant for each other while growing and evolving outside of our relationship. The love we share is unlike any other because we’re divinely orchestrated by the Universe to push through a one-of-a-kind journey. The One I’m in love with is my mate for life.”

Each day, I practiced what the book has taught on feeling and acting as if you’ve finally manifested your most awaited desire.

One day, I was chatting with a close friend, asking for a favor to introduce me to a potential date. All I ever expected was to meet someone casually and get on with life, experiencing new dates for the sake of fun and socialization.

Here’s the thing, I was left in awe and surprise when we first met because it truly felt like she was ‘The One’. Without a doubt, when we first walked into each other, she was an angel brought down from the heavens above. From our first encounter as she walked out of a cosmetics store while I was approaching her from behind, our first date of donuts and coffee, our first conversation colored by excitement, hesitation, and affection. Our first Sunday mass, the first time we held hands, the first time we kissed, and the first night our souls caressed at night. It was all because of the law of attraction; each moment is inexplicable, and finally, the Universe is about to write me a story of love to last.
