Since my wife and I watched The Secret last week I have been writing things that I am grateful for every morning. Since I have been doing this and putting the law of attraction into effect I have experienced some amazing things.

I really love the natural world and every morning I have been writing something like, ” I am grateful for the mountains, the creek, the salmon …”. Well yesterday morning I walked out to the creek by my house and thought, “I want to see a salmon, I want to see a salmon.” After about 15 seconds of thinking this a salmon appeared in the water, swam up to the surface and then swam away. It was pretty awesome stuff.

This next one really floored me. So Yesterday when I was writing down what I am grateful for and I get to the part where I start to write about the natural world (see above) . I wrote, “I am grateful for the mountains, the creek, the salmon, the elk”. And I stopped and thought why did I just write “the elk”? I haven’t seen any elk in the year and a half that I have lived here. There are a lot of elk where we used to live in Colorado so I thought well I am grateful for those and went on finishing the page not really thinking too much more of it.

So this morning I am driving to a neighboring town to do some work in a school. Usually 2x per week I do this in the morning. I am driving down this rural road I have driven down a bunch of times and turn around a bend and what do you think I see? A freaking herd of elk in a pasture off to the right. Man I pulled over and checked them out and they checked me out. I don’t know how to explain the feelings I had at that moment but it was pretty powerful stuff.

I have a thing I have created that has to do with my brother but it hasn’t played it self out yet so I will save it for another entry.

My wife and I only watched The Secret 6 days ago and it has profoundly changed my view of the world. I don’t know what else to say but I am grateful for knowing The Secret.
