I came to Los Angeles in pursuit of my acting career. I had no agent of any sort and was next to impossible to get one, unless you were already known. I believed very deeply that it is my destiny to be this amazing actress that would make a difference to the world and be a great example to all. I didn’t know how I was going to do it. but I just kept feeling that something was going to happen for me real soon. I then met this Publicist who has never managed anyone before, but we hit it off and she wanted to represent me as a manager. I had nothing to lose since I had no representation. So I took her up on the offer to represent me. Then months later CBS studios was holding auditions for Latino actors. To showcase new talent to all the studios. I needed to get infront of them because I just strongly felt and believed that if they saw my work they would love me and sign me up. So I asked my manager at the time to please submit me. She tried many times but nothing happened. So I then told her to call them and get me in. She at first was reluctant to do so. As she put it at that time, she didn’t want to make them mad, putting it lightly. So I told her “look ,make them mad if you have to but get me in there. I know something great will come of this, I can feel it.” So she called them on the last day of auditions and I got me in. What happened next was amazing. I did a monolog for them. I didn’t know it at the time but they were looking for a Latina actress who could be dramatic and cry and have a Spanish accent and be very natural in performance to play a guest star role for their TV series. Well I don’t have a Spanish accent, but in my monolog when I spoke of my mother I did her in a Spanish accent and I even had a scene that I cried in. What happened next? CBS picked 18 people to showcase out of 800 people that auditioned. I was 1 of the 18 actors that was picked. Then as I was doing the showcase I had also landed the big Guest Star role on their hit tv series “Without A Trace” the role with the Spanish Accent. Out of the 18 actors they showcased. I was 1 of the 2 people CBS studios signed with a holding deal. I was put on the ballots for consideration to be a nominee for an Emmy Award on my role I played on the hit TV series. And now my goal is to have my own hit TV series as a series regular. And do many Feature films. And do talks in colleges and high schools around the world for those thinking of getting into the entertainment business. I am also now producing for feature films with a couple of Studios Producers, that I have become very close friends with. So Producing and acting will and is my career. The Secret does work whether you know it or not. It’s always working. And I love it.
