My father holds a family meeting with his wife and his kids every year on the first of January. On the first of January 2021, we were at this meeting and I was acting as the secretary and I was writing down the minutes. My father said his special request was for me to get a corporate job. I was 2 years graduated from university. I respond by saying that I already had a job. He said he would like me to get a corporate job anyway because, at the time, he believed that my artwork was only a hobby. I have never agreed with him about this as to me my art is my life’s work. So I wrote down in the minutes; “I am happy and grateful now that I, Chinwendu, am successful in my work as a full time artist! I am loved and supported and there are multiple great opportunities and open doors that come out for me everywhere! We could never ask for anything else, this is amazing!” No one said this at the family meeting, of course, but I thought it in my heart. I believed it and I wrote it down in the minutes.

Today, I am a successful full time artist and my parents respect my work and support me. I use the internet to meet so many amazing people who love and support my work and who are buying my paintings! I now have the support of so many great galleries worldwide and I am becoming a household name who has worked in film, books, animations, tech, textiles, and in traditional mediums like gallery and museum art. It is so amazing! I am so happy and grateful to the Universe for making this possible! I am happy and also thankful to myself for having faith and changing my story into one I am most happy to read.
