Living in the subtropics in a coastal resort city in Australia we don’t see a lot of snow!
Less than a year ago I added a picture to my dream board that I had cut out of a North American Ski brochure, it was a picture and blurb about snowmobiling. I often looked at the picture and imagined how it would feel to be wizzing through the snow covered tree lined trails with the cold wind in my face and I’d say to myself “Im going to do that!”
A few months later I had qualified for an all exspenses paid trip with our network marketing business to go Dallas in March to attend our international conference. America is a long way to go for just a 5 day conference so the friend I was traveling with suggested we stay another week. We decided to go to Las Vegas then at the last moment , literally just before we booked we changed our mind and decided to go skiing, my friend was a beginner but I needed no convincing as I have skied for years and it has always been one of my dreams to ski in Nth America. We were able to secure a real bargain condo at a great resort in Montanna and planned to ski Big Mountain. There is a company there that run snow mobile tours and I mentioned to my friend about the picture on my dream board. I woke on the last day to find her on the phone trying to book us in, they were full but took our number, they soon called back to say they had been able to get another machine and we were booked to go out at 1pm.
It was the best 4 1/2 hours of the whole trip!! I did it, I have some awesome photos, I can now remember not just imagine the cold wind, the snow covered trees and christmas card scenery. I had not planned to go snowmobiling without my husband as I knew he would love it as much as me but it was my dream and I know that if I had not put that picture on the dream board I would not have ended up in Montanna on a snowmobile crying out “Look at me Lord, look at what I am doing!” I ‘ll get to do it again only next time with my husband and daughter.
