This story dates back before the secret came to public notoriety. But proves that The Secret already lives within us. All we have to do is activate it. In 1995 I landed a great job with one of the largest telecommunications companies here in Southern California. However, this came at a great price of not spending time with my family. I was commuting to work 5 times a week about 2 hours one way. And if there was traffic; tack on another hour. So on average 20 hours a week was spent in my car. Well my wife & I just had our 3rd child. I thought “I don’t want to miss a day of my new sons growth and I want to spend more time with my family. So I prayed and asked God for a job closer to home where I only had to commute 15 minutes at the most one way. When I would wake up in the morning I was say, “thank you for my new position that gets me to work in 15 minutes. When I got into my car I would clock 15 minutes from the time I left my house. Once I got to 15 minutes I would say thank you that I’m at work. I started looking for positions within the company because I didn’t want to lose my tenure. I found a position and applied. On the day of the interview I clocked the time from my home and it was exactly 15 minutes. At the end of the interview I was immediately offered the position. I not only got what I wanted, but also more money.
