Ten years ago I read every book I could find on the Law of Attraction. I had exhausted all the other means of becoming a “Mom” , this was my only hope. After arming myself with the knowledge I got to work. I created my vision board of adorable children and happy families. I wrote a gratitude list, thanking the universe for my wonderful family that came to me in record time, even bigger and better than I could imagine. I read this list morning, noon and night. Lastly, I went on a one hour walk, daily, where I focused all my thoughts on my excitement and joy of being a Mom even though in my current reality I was unable to have children. My heart led me to adoption thru foster care. The social workers I dealt with were very discouraging. I was told it would take years to adopt, if it even happened at all! Meanwhile, back at the ranch I was feeling great using all my ‘Law of Attraction” tools. Drum roll please…..a short three months later we got a call, asking us if we would like to be considered for not one, but Two children that had just become available for adoption. After an enthusiastic YES we begun the process of waiting to see if we would be the family selected from the 42 that were also on the list. Normally these 2 weeks would have been torture, however the daily ritual I was doing gave me the confidence that if these kids were not meant for me than I KNEW something bigger and better would come. Two weeks later we got the call that changed our lives. They picked US to be the family for two brothers that had just turned one and two years old! Three months of using the same tools “The Secret” talks about and I had two little boys in diapers running around my house. Since then I have had dozens of people in the foster/adopt system tell me it does not ever happen that way for other people. After recently watching The Secret DVD, I am reminded and inspired, how to mainfest my daughter! I have also made a commitment to share this awesome Law of Attraction with my sons. They love for me to share the story of how we found each other, now it is time for me to teach them how to use it in their own lives. Thank you for this awesome film!
