Hello,

This is a story about a family member of mine who I had and continue to pray for. This was about their job. A dear family member of mine works for a company that is going through a downtime with bad profits after the covid pandemic. Due to this situation, a round of layoffs was going on, and the people who were retained did not get any bonuses or salary increments, and, of course, all promotions were frozen.

During this time, the said person was going through a tough phase. He was feeling demotivated and felt a lack of recognition from the company for all the effort he had put in to stabilize the product and test it. This whole situation and the image of his sad face were killing me from the inside.

At this point, I decided to pray to God. I prayed a lot every day, asking God to either provide him with a promotion and a salary increase or bless him with a job in a different company that would offer him a much higher salary. During this period, I did not lose hope, and I kept visualizing him with a happy and smiling face.

As the days passed by, nothing really happened but that did not deter me from my prayers. Then, one day, an email was sent to my dear person by the company to tell them that they had been promoted, much to our joy!!

We were happy, but here comes the bad part: the promotion came without a salary increase. This was a new fad in the market globally called a “dry promotion.” This made the situation worse as it meant more work, more accountability, and more responsibility but for the same amount of money. This led to more demotivation than there initially was when they first announced there would be no salary increases.

But here comes the twist. This did not diminish my faith in God; I kept praying as usual. And then a miracle happened. One day, the company set up a call to talk with my dear person. The call was about him getting a salary increase! To my person’s great surprise, this salary increase was not given to everyone, including the handful of other people who had also gotten promoted. My dear person had received a small increase in salary, and the company told him that this was all that could be given right now due to the company’s current situation and that they had to fight with the management to get this increase. But I rejoiced nonetheless, as this small salary increase was much better than nothing at all! It also sealed my faith in God. Thank you, and praise be to God, who never leaves us hanging and always has our back! Thank you so much to God!

The one thing that The Secret has taught me is that no matter what the situation may be, always keep your faith. This led me to strengthen my faith in God, and truly believe without any type of conditions attached.
