A little over 10 years ago, I was at my first treatment center for my drug addiction, when I was first introduced to The Secret. I watched a movie on it and it left a pretty big impression on me. Unfortunately at that time in my life, I wasn’t ready to make the necessary changes I needed to in order to really apply what I had learned from it.

The next ten years of my life were filled with pain and struggles of not being able to get sober and repeating the same torturous cycle. Finally, after I was physically, mentally, and spiritually defeated at 32 years old, I was able to find God and get sober. I found myself reading a book about spirituality that talked about The Secret. I became fascinated with these ideas and beliefs and started applying them to my everyday life. I learned to live on a frequency of gratitude, practice the laws of the Universe, and train my subconscious to love myself and strictly think positively about my life.

As I continued to practice these concepts, my life drastically changed before my eyes. I went from being homeless to getting paid to live in a beautiful house where I teach other women to stay sober. I went from barely being able to afford a bus pass with no license, to driving a brand new Mercedes. I went from a college dropout working at my local diner to working my dream job helping children with disabilities alongside people with master’s degrees. I went from my family barely speaking to me, to having strong and loving relationships with both my parents. I was riddled with shame, guilt, and fear for as long as I can remember, and now I’m filled with confidence, compassion, love, serenity, and peace. I no longer attract toxic and negative people into my life. I attracted good people and good opportunities instead. My life is filled with abundance, passion, success, and happiness. I wish everybody would adopt the theories of The Secret because if it can change my life, it can change anyone’s life. I will never stop giving thanks and praise to the Universe.
