My original story about meeting my husband was published in Ms. Byrne’s best seller “How the Secret Changed My Life.” Since then my life has only gotten more magical! I have been married to my soul mate now for 14 years. We spent much of that time in California where I was a teacher, and then a school Principal. He was a law enforcement officer. When retirement came for him we decided to move to my home of Newfoundland, Canada. While he was retired, I still needed to work!

Getting teaching jobs in Newfoundland can be difficult, but I left California and drove to NL with the firm intention that I would have a job by that September! On day 2 of my 8 day cross continent drive, I was offered a permanent job as a school principal in NL! It was not in my hometown, it was hundreds of miles away, however, I made it my intention to get back to my small hometown, a village of 300 people, with a permanent job!

I made my vision board. On it was my dream job, a teacher at my old Alma mater in my hometown area, a house that had been for sale just meters away from my parent’s home where I grew up, along with some other signs of having “made” it like an RV.

Just 4 short years later I was living my dream. On one day, I managed to tick off the majority of the items on my board, including a permanent teaching position at my old school! I now live in my dream house, have my dream job, own my dream dogs (2 corgis), have an RV, and the money in the bank I envisioned.

Each morning when I walk into school I’m greeted by my workmates and they always say, “How are you today?” And my response for the last two years has been “living the dream!” Because it is so true! I’m truly living the life I’ve always imagined!
