Two years ago I was in a negative place. My husband and I were going through a serious emotional situation with one of our sons. I quickly went into a deep depression which lasted for about one year. I was looking for any way out of this horrible feeling I had inside myself, and felt trapped with no way out. I had a small spot on my leg that everyone kept telling me to have looked at and removed. Instead of doing that, I imagined that that spot on my leg would be my way out of these feelings of despair, and that possibly it would turn to cancer.

That is exactly what happened – it turned to cancer. Now I did not realize I had this power, but I was so depressed and just wanted to end those feelings. I finally went to the doctors upon my husband’s request, and it turned out to be Superficial Melanoma. Not as serious as it could have been, but never the less I have a long scar on my leg. This scar reminds me every single day what stress can do if you let it take over your life, and that is exactly what I tell people if they ask about the scar.

One of my friends introduced me to the Secret after I had the surgery, and from that point on my life has been 100% better.

Today I still have things coming in and out of my life as everyone does, but I will never let myself get to the place I was back then. I use the Secret every day, writing in my gratitude journal every night, being thankful as I go through each day. I have two visual boards – one for family and one for the other things I wish to manifest. My refrigerator is covered with happy pictures of our family. Every day I give compliments to people I meet along the way.

I also wanted my business to grow, with my first goal of getting six new clients within one month. I printed out six client sheets and have them placed on my desk. Each sheet says “New Client”. Near these sheets I have an index card which states the period of time I wish to receive these new clients. My business is growing, I am receiving inquiries about my services all the time. I am confident I will have six new clients.

I have been wanting my husband and I to buy a boat to have at our little cottage we have on a small lake up north. We have been going to boat shows this winter so I have a picture of the boat we like placed on the refrigerator. On that boat I placed two photographs, one of my husband in the drivers seat and one of myself as the passenger in the front seat. I know that we will buy a boat this spring and this summer we will enjoy it, bringing friends and family for rides all summer long.

The Secret takes work each day, but it does become easier and easier, just like what they say in the book and DVD. I have bought a second copy of the Secret and lend it to friends going through a rough period in their own lives. This can only bring good into my life.
