After viewing The Secret one Monday morning, I decided to put what I had just learned into practice immediately. In a conversation with a friend of mine, the subject of me getting back visitation with my children unsupervised, came up. Due to religous differences, my ex-wife thought that my way of seeing the world was contrary to her beliefs and blocked my seeing the children as much as she could. This was the Thursday after seeing The Secret. I said during that conversation “I really enjoyed my visit with the children today. We had all day to spend together, just me and them, and it was just wonderful. We will be doing that more often.” I had not really seen the kids that day, but I was employing some of what I learned earlier in the week. Shortly after that conversation I said “I want to see my children, unsupervised!” See I firmly believed in the process now. I asked….I knew it had been answered, and was fully prepared to receive the gift. Well, the Sunday before viewing The Secret I told my ex-wife’s new husband that I was coming to buy the kids summer clothing the following Saturday and that I would call on Friday to confirm and check his schedule so that we may go and get that done. On Friday when I called, he promptly told me that he had spoken with my ex-wife and she had decided to remove that stipulation from our interactions and that I could come and get the children and bring them back later Saturday night! A couple of hours ago I ended a wonderful UNSUPERVISED visit at MY house 1 hour away from their home. This had not taken place in 5 years. I told my children to STOP wanting this to happen more and say EVERY day, “I really enjoyed being with Dad today”, and just watch what happens. I’m not going to let them get to 35 to learn this secret.
