For more than five years, The Secret has been in the back of my mind, but I really began to use it to influence and guide my life a little over a year ago. I had moved to a new city to escape painful memories of a life and relationship gone sour and unfulfilled. I wanted to give myself a new start, so I packed up and set out on a new journey.

Due to this decision, a series of events took place that left me jobless, living on credit cards, without health insurance, and in a town where I was all alone. I felt like many times I had hit rock bottom and made a stupid mistake. I felt like I was moving from failure to failure in my career and in my relationships. I had an advanced degree, was in great shape, and took care of myself, but I felt like I was going nowhere. I was just scared and looking for someone or something to rescue me.

With the help of The Secret, I am proud to say I rescued myself. One day, I remembered The Secret and dug out my copy. I started reading the book again, watching the movie online every night, and praying and asking God and the Universe to change my life. It did not happen overnight, but I am here to tell you that a year later, my life is totally different, and that is because of The Secret and the law of attraction.

I wrote down in my journal every day, one thing at a time. I stopped complaining and writing about all the bad things happening in my life. Instead, I wrote what I was thankful for and what I wanted to attract into my life, and I got specific about it. First was my job! I prayed for a break into the corporate world and spent hours upon hours searching ads, surfing online, applying to an agency for help, and going to countless dead-end job interviews. In the meantime, I also kept a social life going. I met everyone that I could and went out as often as I could.

Finally, after writing down what I wanted every day and doing two months’ worth of interviews, I did not land a job through all the time I wasted filling out applications. However, because of a friend I had gotten to know, I got hired at a great company with a great starting salary, amazing benefits, and a bonus structure. Also, my socializing paid off for my small side business, and it began to grow, too.

My standard of living changed drastically, and immediately, I came within two weeks of being evicted from my apartment. I could not find a roommate to split the rent, no matter how hard I looked. But it ended up that I did not even need one. I am not independently wealthy by any means; but not only can I now afford to live without a roommate, I can afford to pay off debt and save for retirement.

When I first moved into my condo, I had a bed and an old dresser, and now it is a tranquil retreat. It is filled with furniture I saw in my mind’s eye and I had attracted each piece to me.

To keep it going, I didn’t wait for a social life to find me; I found it. I went out alone to meet new people. If I didn’t get an invite to a party, I found out how to invite myself. Soon, people became dependent on me to help them with their social life. So, I changed my job, my home, and my support group, and now I decided I was going to attract an amazing relationship and travel into my life. So, I started writing down what I wanted.

I got out my journal and placed an order with the catalog of the Universe. After it was all said and done, I said thank you to the Universe for taking care of this for me. I can’t wait to meet him. I kept busy in the meantime taking care of myself.

Two months later, he came along. He was exactly what I put down on my list and we adore each other. So now I am having my cake and eating it too, but wait, there is more!

Interestingly enough I had written down that I was going to take at least two major vacations this year. I had no idea how I was going to pay for it. I worked the numbers over and over on paper and in my head and started a little travel fund, but there was no way I was going to be able to afford it with all the other places my money was going. When I just placed the order and let it ride, I got even more than I could have wished for. My amazing man owns a travel company! I have already traveled with him several times, and our next big trip is a 10 day getaway to an island paradise!

All that happened in a year, and if I can do it, anyone can turn their life around. We all deserve it. Check back with me in another year, and let’s see how much farther I have come. I have written down that I want to have a million dollar idea. Thank you, universe!

Even though it took a long time, God and the Universe were not just paving the way, but they were doing it in such a way that it happened in the best possible way! All my other worries were taken care of as well at the same time. Surrender your soul and let it go to God and the Universe!

However, I was determined to close my business, so I started looking for jobs and finally got an interview. I did not get any reply from that company for months, and I thought that perhaps my experience was not relevant to the job and probably would not be hired. But I stopped myself from thinking that way. Instead, I reminded myself to be positive. I visualized myself having coffee in the pantry of the company, and I even created a business card on my computer that showed my name and my title in that company.

Eventually, after three months, I got that job, and I was very grateful. I knew I got that job because I was very positive and I believed in the law of attraction!

I was happy to have joined this company, but unfortunately, I have a very difficult boss, and I have such a heavy workload that I had forgotten about being positive. I forgot about the law of attraction. Of course, I still “pretended” to be positive at work just to make things work and appear to be professional, but inside, I had this fear as I did not know when my boss was going to pick on me. I had become negative, and I was always visualizing being picked on, which, of course, was because I kept thinking about it!

I used to get stuff that I wanted by visualizing it, and by being positive and grateful. However, it is not easy to pretend when I am actually not happy.

Then last week, my boss was on trip, and I got to work on my own. I realized that my negative feelings had led to a negative working life. I suddenly remembered The Secret and I realized that I must stop all these negative feelings. I told myself that I must start again by asking the Universe for what I wanted and believing that I would get what I asked for.

So one night I attended our company’s annual dinner and there was a lucky draw. Each of us received a number, and halfway through the dinner, they started the lucky draw. At first, I wasn’t paying much attention, and after a few prizes were given out, I started thinking that I wanted to get a prize, whatever it was. So I started visualizing my number being called and stepping onto the stage to get my prize.

Within a minute after I had that thought, my number was called! I was so happy because I knew the Universe did listen.

At that time, my colleague had not gotten anything yet, and he said that he wanted to get a camera. So, half-joking, I said to him that I would use my willpower to help him get that camera. And you know what? I kept visualizing him getting the camera, and he got it!

I know it sounds crazy, but there is no harm in being positive and believing in yourself. The law of attraction is real, and I will keep reminding myself of this!

Then, my partner entered a competition, paid £3 for tickets, and won 38K from it. We were able to change our situation, decorate our home, and live a more comfortable, happy life. The manifestations continue, and more positive things are coming my way.

I have always loved the month of March. Not only is it my birthday month but it is also filled with uplifting events. The lively and festive St. Patrick’s Day, the thrilling games of March Madness, and the arrival of Spring make this month a welcome change from the long, cold winter months.

Today, I decided to begin journaling about The Magic and to start this wondrous month with a life-changing journey. To kick things off, I gave out mini sneakers to my friends and colleagues. I stretched out my hand as if to give a fist bump, and some reacted normally by returning the gesture. Others were confused since we hadn’t really spoken, but they returned the fist bump anyway.

Once they bumped back, I revealed the mini sneakers in my hand, and they were surprised and delighted to take the candy.

The best moment came when my work crush was happy to see me walk over to her. She had a huge smile on her face when she saw me, but was even more thrilled to fist bump me and get the mini sneakers in my hand.

Gratitude was filling the air, and I am grateful for being its beacon. Giving is just as amazing as receiving! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Now, I stand as a changed human, expressing gratitude for even being given the opportunity to post my story. My story is as follows:

I quit my job two months ago as I was unsatisfied, and when I did so, I had no other job backing me up. I applied for various jobs and attended a few interviews, but none yielded positive results. Amongst those was one job in particular, a profile in a company that I liked. It was put on hold. I used The Secret and set a date for me to get a confirmation.

What happened later was unbelievable. I got the call on the specified date with the desired figure I wanted for my salary, my desired location, and my mentor. There is nothing bigger than faith.

I am very happy and will join the company on the 4th of August. Thank you!

I have used the law of attraction in many areas of my life, and everything has worked out well. But this time, it was really a miracle for me.

As we all know, the financial year ends in March in India but at my job, we learn only learn about our work appraisal in March. In January, I decided to deliberately manifest the highest appraisal on our team. I started visualizing and feeling as if my wish was already fulfilled. But the important thing was that I made sure that I let it go. I was not attached to it at all. I would visualize it in the morning two or three days a week, and then I would forget about it completely while at work.

Finally, March came, and I was eagerly waiting for my appraisal letter. It came on the 28th of March, and I was surprised to see that I had gotten the same appraisal as the others. It was an average hike in salary, just like the others.

But guess what?!

I was happy about it. I was grateful that I got this hike. I had learned to always feel grateful for the things that I have. But deep down inside, I felt like I would still get some more hikes. I did not know how, but I was expecting it.

On the second of May, I was working as usual at my desk. My manager called me up to discuss my work. We had a long chat. After we talked about the office and work for about 20 minutes, he decided to share my appraisal news. He said that it happens only in rare cases that an appraisal is given out of the cycle. But considering my hard work and dedication, they decided to give me another hike. And guess what! This hike was more than double what I had just gotten!! And it was certainly even more than what I was expecting!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

These types of manifestations make my belief in The Secret even stronger. Nothing is impossible. We just need to know what exactly we want and then ask for it. More importantly, we have to be able to let it go. To not be not attached to it. Because when we become so attached to our desire or wish, we block all other possibilities. And some of those possibilities may be much better than what we had even asked for. The Universe has its own way to get things done for you but you have to let go of it and trust that it will happen. Even if you do not know when, where, or how. Your job is to just allow it to be.

But on my 30th birthday, the stress and anxiety from my job reached a peak, and I just knew I had to follow a new path.

I had spent my twenties so completely focused on my job and being a mom that I had lost myself. I did not have an identity outside of my corporate job title and my mom title. I didn’t have any hobbies, make time for friends, or anything outside of work and mom life.

I knew I could not continue on like this for ten more years, let alone thirty years, so I decided to forge a new path.

While throwing myself into a self-pity spiral, I was embraced by this feeling of pure love and calmness that washed over me. All of a sudden, I had this inner knowing that everything would be ok and that I was going to write a book that would help people all over the world.

I had no idea how to write a book or what the book would even be about, but I knew with certainty it would happen someday.

I began trusting these little intuitive nudges I would get and ended up posting about the law of attraction on Instagram. It opened me up to this entire world of people just like me who were hungry for knowledge and wanted to follow their hearts, too.

Eventually, I met some authors and told them about my plan to write a book someday. Their response was not what I was expecting. They told me it was impossible to get a book deal unless you were a celebrity, and publishers just take all the money anyway. They did a great job of completely turning me off from the idea, and I’m ashamed to admit it, I let them.

I put the idea of my book in the back of my mind and pretty soon forgot all about my dreams of writing a book.

A couple of years later, I was hosting a vision board party, and I pulled out my old boards to use as examples. One of the boards was filled with my goals of writing a book, and all the feelings of excitement and certainty filled me as I looked at that board. At that moment, I once again decided I would write a book. I believed with certainty it would happen, but I did not feel the need to do anything other than wait for the opportunity to present itself. I simply added it to my new vision board.

One month later, I was contacted by a publisher who asked me if I would be interested in writing a book on manifestation! I could not believe it! My vision board was coming true!

That book became a bestseller and turned into five more books! I know the Universe was sending me a message to believe in myself and not let others talk me out of my goals. It was the most extraordinary series of events, but everything I dreamt about on my 30th birthday has come true. And, if I had not known about the law of attraction, I would still be working in my miserable corporate job filled with stress and anxiety.
