A house A Green Car and a Bag of Rocks

Los Angeles, CAI work as a full time actorand creative person.
I had been looking for a house to buy in a certain part of town. I had seen this little house I fell in love with and it needed everything, a roof, paint inside and out, a new bathroom and a floor for the bathroom, windows, doors, heat – everything. I knew I could do the work myself (except the roof) but I thought it would take more money than I had (at the time) and I had really hoped to find something in move in condition. My agent told me to forget about buying until I could get financing in place – what seemed like a daunting task. I knew an inexepensive house in LA would be snapped up before that would happen, but still, I loved it and had actually dreamt about it even before I saw it. The financing got into place and to my surprise, the little house was back on the market. I went by to see it and to my amazement and delight, they had renovated the whole house in exactly the colors I had picked out while dreaming about fixing it up. The had redone the bathroom exactly how I would have done and the kitchen just felt like home. New roof, new paint, new windows and doors – everything, exactly the way I wanted it to be – and they LOWERED the price! I wanted to make an offer but still was not sure. The next day, my friend gave me her copy of The Secret, so I watched…. and then watched and then watched and then watched… I kept on skimming past the part about the car, because as an actress I am very good at visualizing and I didn’t need a car. I went back with my agent to show her my wonderful renovated house and that day the garage was open and in the garage was a green sportscar. I was very excited to see it because I knew that was the secret working. I made an offer, believing, believing but still a little nervous. After my agent faxed the offer, I took the dogs for a walk to calm my nerves. I wanted to know like I know like I know that the house was mine, but I still needed a sign. As I walked the dogs they stopped and I stopped – there at my feet was a tiny bag of rocks – 6 little rocks in a small ziplock plastic bag. Gratitude rocks! I picked up the bag and named everything I was grateful for as we walked the neighborhood we would be leaving before long. I became calm. I didn’t think anyone would beleive me about all this, except for my friend who gave me the secret, so I am writing this here. Many blessings to you all. I have to go pack.
