St. Louis, MO.A strong believer in The Secret, trying to apply it to my life more and more each day.
I would like to start off by giving thanks to Rhonda for her guidance through the past two years through her books and movie. Your guidance is giving me the life of my dreams.
At the beginning of my senior year of college, I made a risky move to switch my grad school plans from physical therapy to child life. In my heart, I knew I was being drawn to the field of child life despite the three years of completed coursework related to physical therapy and the countless hours I had spent on my application. From the bottom of my heart, I knew it was not what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Therefore, I withdrew my physical therapy applications and applied to one school for child life. Schools that have master programs in child life are fairly rare, and I found one school that just seemed right to me, so I decided I would attend that school no matter what.
I told everyone I would be attending my dream school in the fall, and I started to talk to friends about living arrangements. The email finally came from the university’s graduate admissions, and it was earlier than I had expected. It said that I had been accepted once I sent in an official transcript. I was so excited I called family and friends, posted on Facebook, and lastly, crossed it off my wish list as completed and thanked the Universe repeatedly. I was on cloud nine. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
This was until four days later, when I received another email from the program I applied to saying it was declining my acceptance. I was so confused and upset because I had been told I was accepted only four days prior. I was devastated, but I decided to make a plan for how I could get in the following year.
In the meantime, I decided to follow up with the conflicting information. After about two weeks of phone tag and returned emails, it was found that there was a computer mix-up and that I should never have received the first email. However, due to the conflicting information, they decided to review my file and take a faculty vote. They decided that they would offer me a spot after all! It was like I had a spot all along that the Universe had constructed for me, no matter what. I knew I was going to go to school there; I just did not know how, and the Universe worked it all out for me by a simple computer mixup! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I am now preparing to begin graduate school in August at my dream university and in my dream program. I cannot believe how the Universe unfolded all this for me, but I can’t be anything less than grateful! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Thank you so very much to Rhonda Byrne. Thank you so much for The Magic.
