It was the last weekend of summer 2023 in August and my good friend and I were enjoying the last bit of the sunshine. We were having a cute little picnic on the majestic grounds of a stately home just outside of our small little town. I was a happy and content girl at that moment. The conversation turned to dating. We talked about how much we would just love to meet and date an athlete. Someone who plays some kind of sport because of how physically attractive they are! We spent some time just fantasizing about football players, baseball players, rugby players, basketball players, and American football players.

Knowing about The Secret and how powerful I am at manifesting, I said to my friend, “It is definitely going to happen”, and I knew that it would. Meanwhile, my friend was a little bit skeptical, suggesting that we needed to be in the bigger cities to meet those kinds of guys.

A few weeks later by mid-September, I was in the gym enjoying my workout when I was approached by a guy who asked for my phone number. As we were talking and getting to know each other, guess what? He revealed to me that he was an Athletics 100m runner. At the time it did not even register in my mind that this was a manifestation I had asked for. Anyway, he and I dated only for a couple of weeks before I decided that we weren’t a good match.

That same day that I “broke up” with him at the end of September, I went to the gym to work out. I just needed to fix my mind so that I could restore my happiness and thus restore my power, and I knew a good workout would do it. As I walked into the gym, there appeared this tall, dark, handsome guy who I had never seen before in the gym. Wow, I thought. He had an attractive presence about him. Not to mention, a great athletic build, as if he played a sport or something, Lol! We both smiled at each other and said hi before proceeding to do our individual workouts.

A couple of days later we saw each other again and he asked for my number. As we got to chatting he revealed to me that he’s an international basketball player!!! Again, in that moment it didn’t occur to me that this was a manifestation!!! It was only a couple of weeks later when he invited me to watch him practice, I was telling my friend about it and that’s when it dawned on me that I had manifested this!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I have been practicing The Secret mindfully now for a year and I have mastered the formula:

1. Be happy! Just be happy. I find ways of being happy every day. I was happy when I spoke about my desire to date an athlete and I was happy on both occasions that I met these guys.

2. Believe that the things that you want are possible. Instead of being skeptical like my friend, I just naively believed that there has got to be a way. As the Universe/God would have it, I met an international basketball player in my small little town, living my usual little life. I did not have to go out of my way at all.

3. Let it go. This part can be hard to do for things that I desperately want but it is ‘the deal sealer’. Even as it was happening, I had forgotten about this desire. I was not thinking about it or praying about it incessantly.
