I viewed The Secret online a few days ago and thought “Wow, that’d be awesome if I could really do that”. I tried some of the things, visualizing myself with what I wanted, writing down my desires but there was always the skeptical part of me telling me “This is a load of hogwash”…or maybe that was my wife. Either way, there was negativity penetrating my thoughts and it didn’t seem to be working.

Not anymore.

Today, I decided to give it another try. Maybe I started out too big. Let’s see what happens if I start smaller.

I was looking for a parking space as I arrived at work and could find none except in the far reaches of the parking lot. I drove down the row closest to the entrance and saw nothing available. I pulled in to a handicapped space to turn around and paused for a moment. I visualized myself getting out of my car right in front of the door and walking inside.

I pulled out and turned the way I had come and there was an empty space. I did not see a car move in the few seconds I did my visualization but here it was, empty and waiting for me.

Coincidence you say? Maybe, to have a parking space appear where there was none seconds ago was enough to convince me. I pray something similar convinces you. It might take something more than a parking space or it may be something not as dramatic. One thig is for sure for me…

I am no longer a sceptic.
