I work full time for a radio station and I also volunteer on the Board of Directors and as the Fundraising Director for the Society for Support to Pregnant and Parenting Teens. In an effort to pay off the building we are in for the program we came up with an idea to build and raffle off three little playhouses, I convinced our radio station to sponsor the program. The budget was $9,000 to take care of all expenses but if we sold out we would make a profit of $21,000 to put towards the mortgage. The program got off to a rough start when the original place we built the playhouses had misunderstood the fact that we needed to sell tickets there, and it was against their policy to let us solicit sales on their property, so we had to move them to a less desirable location, for soliciting sales. When we only had 5 weeks left to sell and we had not broke even yet, I began to get afraid and started to fear that this project would cost money!! I would sit there trying to sell tickets and think “nobody is coming by to buy tickets”, and very few people would. Then I watched The Secret and started asking the universe for a success with this project. Not only did ticket sales increase, but one and a half weeks after I started asking, a gentleman came into the radio station I work at. He has come in before and left an anonymous donation for an organization the radio station supports. This time he left another $5000 cash. Then he asked the receptionist “You guys are doing something with the pregnant teen program right now right?” She replied “Yes, Project Playhouse”, and he said “OK can you see that they get this”, and left a small box. The receptionist was so busy taking care of the $5000 cash donation that she ignored this little box for a while. When she finally looked inside it – there was $10,000. CASH. I was astonished and relieved, because of the radio sponsorship the universe was able to deliver success in a big way. I was now relaxed. At the end of my positive thinking and our raffle, we had the $10,000 plus $5,000 from ticket sales. The secret worked. I am now trying to apply it in all areas of my life.
